As many as 70 seniors from all six Las Cruces Public Schools high schools will be recognized for their academic achievements and post-secondary choice during the district’s 10th Annual Academic Signing Day. The ceremonial signing will take place on Wednesday, April 24 at 5:30 p.m. in the multipurpose room at Arrowhead Park Early College High School.
Each of the district’s high schools nominate seniors to be recognized. The event, which first started in 2015, was created to honor the achievements and college selections of exemplary seniors much like athletes are recognized on their signing day.
The event is hosted by Dr. Wendi Miller-Tomlinson, Deputy Superintendent of Teaching, Learning and Research. Students are invited to wear a t-shirt, sweatshirt or cap that represents their college choice, and they will be invited to speak during the event to announce their college and share their proudest high school accomplishment.
The public is invited to attend or watch virtually using this link.
